When a browser game will not load or respond

Check game loading, keyboard focus, publisher ads and desktop requirements. Practical help for starting browser games and reporting a broken player.

1. Open the game page and press Play

Game players start after you press Play now. Publisher-hosted games contact the publisher at that point and keep their own advertising and storage controls. A game cover by itself does not mean that the game has finished loading.

2. Allow the first download to finish

Some 3D games have a larger first download. Check the game's device notes and your internet connection. If the player reports a failure, use its Retry button or reload the game page once.

3. Check publisher ads and menus

An ad may appear before a title menu or between stages. Wait for the publisher's normal close or skip control. If the ad never releases the player, report the game and what the screen shows.

4. Restore keyboard focus

Click inside the game canvas after a menu or ad, then try the controls shown on its page. Otherwise an arrow key or Space may affect the page instead of the game. Local two-player modes need separate keys for each player.

5. Check device and save limitations

A build marked desktop may need a physical keyboard and mouse. GamPlayer does not synchronize publisher-game saves between devices. Private browsing, clearing game storage or changing browsers can affect progress.

Send a useful report

Include the game URL, device, browser and whether the problem is loading, input or an interruption during play. Do not send passwords or private files.
