Pool and Billiards

Pool rewards one habit above all others: thinking about where the cue ball stops, not just whether the target ball drops. A pot that leaves you with no next shot is worse than a safety that leaves you a clear line. The geometry is fixed and learnable — the ghost ball sits directly behind the target on the line to the pocket, and aiming at that spot is most of accuracy. Power is the other half, since a hard shot that goes in can still lose the frame by scattering the table.

How this list is built

Matched on 8 ball, 9 ball, billiards, snooker, cue sport and carrom terms. Pool party, swimming pool and water slide titles are excluded, since they share the word and nothing else.

Technically: matched on title, tag, category and description terms including 8 ball, 9 ball, billiard, snooker, pool table, pool club; with 4 exclusion terms removing near-miss titles. Nothing on this page is hand-placed — the order is driven by what players here actually open.

Most played in this list right now: Pool: 8 Ball Mania, Pool 8 Ball, Bubble Billiards, Pool Billiard.

GamPlayer runs these games in the browser with no install and no account. Availability still depends on your device, browser and local network.

Pool and Billiards: common questions

How do I aim more accurately?

Picture a ghost ball touching the target on the far side, directly opposite the pocket, and send the cue ball to that point. Almost all aiming error is picking the wrong contact point rather than a shaky stroke.

What does putting spin on the cue ball do?

Where the game supports it, hitting above centre rolls the cue ball forward after contact and hitting below pulls it back. That is how players control the next shot instead of leaving it to chance.

Is snooker much harder than 8 ball?

Yes. The table is larger, the pockets are tighter, and you must alternate reds with colours, which makes position play mandatory rather than optional. 8 ball is the friendlier place to start.

How many games are on this page?
