Solitaire and Card Games

Solitaire is a solved-shape game: the deal is random, the rules are fixed, and the whole interest is in reading which move closes doors. Klondike gives you a three-card draw and a lot of hidden information. Spider is one suit or four, and the four-suit version is genuinely hard. Freecell is almost always winnable, which turns it from luck into a pure planning problem. Pyramid and Tripeaks are faster and more about pairing than sequencing. All of them play with a mouse, a trackpad or a thumb.

How this list is built

Matched on solitaire, Klondike, Freecell, Spider, Tripeaks, Pyramid, patience, rummy, canasta and the card versions of hearts and spades. Battle-card and collectible-card games are excluded, since those are a different genre wearing the same word.

Technically: matched on title, tag, category and description terms including solitaire, klondike, freecell, spider solit, tripeaks, pyramid solit; with 4 exclusion terms removing near-miss titles. Nothing on this page is hand-placed — the order is driven by what players here actually open.

Most played in this list right now: Survival Island, Merge Royal, Daily Mahjong, Indian Solitaire.

379 games match in total; the 72 most played are shown so the page stays fast on a phone.

GamPlayer runs these games in the browser with no install and no account. Availability still depends on your device, browser and local network.

Solitaire and Card Games: common questions

Which solitaire is best if I am new to it?

Klondike, the version most people mean by solitaire. One suit Spider is the next easiest step because the sequencing is visible. Freecell looks intimidating with everything face up, but that is exactly what makes it fair — nothing is hidden from you.

Is every deal winnable?

Not in Klondike, where a meaningful share of shuffles cannot be solved no matter how well you play. Freecell is the opposite: nearly every deal has a solution, so a loss there is genuinely a mistake rather than the shuffle.

Do these save my game if I close the tab?

That varies by title, since each is built by its own developer. Where progress is stored it is kept in your own browser, not on an account, so it stays on the device you played on.

Can I play with one hand on a phone?

Yes. Card games are mostly drag or tap, which is why they survive the move to a small screen better than almost any other genre.

How many games are on this page?

This page currently matches 379 games in the GamPlayer catalog. The strongest categories in the list are Mahjong Solitaire (22), Klondike (11), Card Games (8).
